Many hoteliers have a slower time of the year, when those off-season blues set in and revenues decline. Being in the PMS software world, we hear a lot off feedback from our clients globally and we’d love to share what we think are some of the best practices to bump up off-season revenue.
Reduce your price, which is kind of obvious. Cost conscious travelers keep their eyes open for this. Network locally, by engaging with local businesses and associations, you’ll likely find new opportunity to partner, co-market and increase bookings. An increase your marketing spend can really help out too, spending a little more on keywords with Google AdWords is a great example. Target an audience specifically geared around your off-season, maybe singles, or local events, kid’s school vacations.
Another effective way is to reach out to people who have stayed with you previously, utilize a guest marketing platform like GuestFolio, and engage with your customers before, during and after their stay. What works for you?
