Challenges

The Kentucky Castle offers a very unique boutique hotel, spa, and farm-to-table restaurant experience. Set in a medieval-style castle on scenic landscaped grounds, The Kentucky Castle hosts thirteen luxury suites, a library, an outdoor swimming pool and a dining hall and ballroom tailored for holding special events and weddings.

However, when guests were booking their hotel stay through The Kentucky Castle website, their payment was not being automatically processed by the existing merchant vendor. This meant their hotel manager would then spend valuable time reviewing all of the new website bookings and processing those payments manually. Being an extremely guest-centric property, sitting in front of a computer was not the best use of the hotel manager’s time. In addition, the team at The Kentucky Castle found the merchant vendor to be difficult to work with when they needed support.
